In the last 3-4 months I have been using facial serums religiously, just to give my skin a bit more TLC, and a couple of months ago I purchased and started using one from Superdrug from the 'Optimum' range. It is a Swiss apple overnight skin renewing serum, and was £7.49 for a 30ml jar, which firstly I don't think is over the top at all for a serum.
This product isn't that new, however I have read and heard a lot of good things about it so thought I would give it a go and let you know my opinion.
It comes in a glass jar with a pump dispenser. The packaging is quite simple but does the job.
This is what Superdrug say about this product:
A skin renewing serum with PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica which uses extracts from the Swiss Uttwiler Spatlauber Apples to promote a fresher and more hydrated complexion. Helps to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Swiss Apple Overnight Serum works while you sleep, leaving it feeling intensely moisturised and refreshed in the morning.
I have to admit that I can not really comment on the claim that it helps to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as I am not at the age yet where this would concern me, however in the morning my skin does feel hydrated and has a nice glow to it.
Optimum Swiss apple overnight serum is very light weight and does not feel greasy at all, it also absorbs quickly which is great meaning that you can apply this straight before you go to bed and this won't leave a residue on your bedding.
However, if like me you were hoping and expecting this to have an apple scent then you may be a little disappointed. I don't smell any apple scent in this product, although the scent is a very pleasant fresh one which is very subtle.
I have been using this now for the best part of 3 weeks and I can honestly say I have been really impressed with it. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, hydrated and with a slight glow for only £7.49 a pop! I would definatly consider re-purchasing this and trying some other products from the Optimum line without any hesitation.
Optimum Swiss Apple Overnight Skin Renewal Serum can be bought from Superdrug stores or at www.superdug.com
