L'Oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil Review

I have recently been enjoying trying out a new cleanser, which I only bought recently.
I bought the new L'Oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil from Boots on offer for just £3.00.

I am usually a hot cloth cleanser kinda girl, but when buying the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water, I noticed this cleansing oil and thought I'd give it a go.

I found the scent of this cleansing oil to be quite fruity, and it comes in a large plastic bottle (150ml) with a pump action dispenser. The concept behind the product, is that it ill instantly dissolve make up, and remove dirt and grime, including water proof mascara.

You only need a couple of pumps, and apply it onto dry skin. This can also be used on the eyes/ lashes and is then to be removed with a wet muslin cloth/ flannel. Like most other oil cleansers, the L'Oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil turns into a light milky emulsion once it has makes contact with water, this ensures that the skin is deeply cleansed.

I found that this product didn't leave my skin feeling oily or greasy, however felt cleansed and hydrated. I would really recommend this product to someone with particularly dry skin, as this does not strip the skin of its natural moisture.

It also removes make up effortlessly, that including water proof, thick mascara which can at times be quite stubborn to remove, it also did not sting my eyes either which again is a bonus.

I am really enjoying using this L'Oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil for the price I think it is fantastic, however the only thing I would say is that it does have a fairly high mineral oil content.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil R.R.P £4.99 can be purchased here.

MUA Undress Your Skin Foundation Review

I want to introduce, and review a new foundation, which I recently bought from Superdrug. It is by MUA, who in my opinion do some fantastic products, and it is their 'Undress Your Skin' Foundation.

At first, I'll be honest I wasn't sure how I would get on with this product, I know I shouldn't jump conclusions but I was worried about the shade, and wasn't sure how long it would last, and weather Id have to reapply by lunch time....how wrong was I??!!
I got mine in the shade Beige.

On the back of the tube, MUA Undress Your Skin claims to cover imperfections and blemishes, yet maintain skins natural glow. I applied this using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, and it applied really nicely. I would say that this is a semi-matte foundation and gives medium-light coverage. I found that the shade was perfect for me, and also my skin did look dewy and had a subtle glow, without looking like there was glitter on my face.
The longevity has been really impressive too with MUA Undress Your Skin, I applied it at around 8.30am and didn't feel the need to re-apply or touch up at all until at least 6.00pm which for such a budget friendly foundation is fantastic and very impressive.
I am currently really enjoying using this foundation in the warmer weather, as it doesn't look heavy, yet I still feel confident. I'm not sure whether this will still be the case come the Autumn/Winter though, as I tend to like a more full coverage foundation then. I will, however most probably be repurchasing this when I run out and would defiantly recommend you give it a go...for only £5.00 (3for2 at the moment) in Superdrug, you can't really go wrong.

Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Nail Polish Haul

I recently ordered some new nail polishes from the Xtra's website, and picked out seven colours from the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure range. I have never owned any from this range before, but have heard good things about it, and at just £1.99 each I couldn't really go wrong!
After, what seemed like forever trying to decide which colours I wanted I finally made my mind up, and went for the above shades.

From Left to Right: Ivory Skull, Temptation, Fired Up

From Left to Right: The Sky's The Limit, Yellow Kitty, Oxide & Lavender Cloud

My favourite shades I think are going to be Lavender Cloud, Oxide and Temptation. I also really like the brush on these, as they are fairly wide making them pretty fool proof and easier to apply. The consistancy is also good, you only need the two coats fo an even and full coverage of opaque colour.

I am really looking forward to trying these out in the next few days, and will post pictures up on my Instagram for you to see...follow me harri180310

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3-in-1 Purifying Micellar Solution (Bioderma Dupe?...) Review

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved and trusted Bioderma for cleansing and removing my stubborn make-up in the evening. I love it, because i does the job quickly and efficiently  but does not sting my eyes or irritate my skin in the slightest. However, as I'm sure a number of you will agree, it isn't the easiest of things to get hold of, Yes there is E bay ..but then you have to pay postage, wait for it to be delivered....and you get my drift!

I had unfortunately just come to the last legs of my Bioderma, and had seen a lot of good reviews of the new L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3-1in-1 Purifying Micellar Solution how how it may be a dupe for my beloved, trusty Bioderma, so of course I went out and bought myself a bottle.

I got mine from Boots, where there was an offer on all the new L'Oreal Skin Perfection range and was on 2 for £6.00, I also picked up the cleansing oil (Review to come!). It comes in a clear bottle, and the solution inside sure does look comparable to Bioderma. It claims to dissolve make up, unclog pores and remove impurities and tone and sooth the skin. It is also hypo-allergenic and suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

I use this on a cotton pad, and place on top of my eyes, hold it there for at least 10 seconds and wipe away my eye make up. I was really impressed with how effectively it cleansed my skin, and it didn't sting at all. I had to wipe around my eyes a couple of times just to get the last traces of mascara off, but it wasn't a problem. I then applied some more to another cotton pad, and wiped this around the rest of my face and neck to remove other traces of make up and impurities, it felt really refreshing and has a light fresh scent....not over powering at all.
After I have removed my make up I then carry on with my normal evening routine, and have found no problems with my skin since using this product. I will most definitely be re purchasing this product, as it is reasonable in price and does the job effortlessly!

Like I said, I got mine on offer in Boots on 2 for £6.00 but as far as I know I think the RRP for this is £4.99.
Finally, yes I would say this is extremely comparable to my old friend Bioderma!

Have you tried this? Your thoughts?

Phil Smith Argan Oil Hair Transforming Cream Review

If you purchased a copy of last months Cosmopolitan magazine, then like me you would have got a free tube of Phil Smith Argan Oil Hair Transforming Cream.
I have never tried anything form this range before, so was excited to try this as anything that has Argan Oil in it, I'm sold! The Phil Smith Argan Oil hair transforming cream is designed to be used on dry, damaged and coloured hair. I do colour my hair quite a lot, and use heated appliances on it, on pretty much a daily basis so my hair is most definitely dry and damaged.
You only need to use a pea-sized amount, and I applied mine to the ends and mid lengths of my damp hair after washing it as normal. I think if you were to use any more, your hair could look slightly oily as this product is a creamy consistancy and too much can cause product build up.
I then dried my hair and styled it as normal, and I was really pleasantly surprised at how soft my hair felt. The ends looked healthy and had a nice healthy looking shine to it. It also smelt really good too!
I have been using this product every other day for a week, and I'm really impressed with it, and how it treats my hair. It is a product which I will most definitely be re-purchasing when I run out.
Phil Smith Argan Oil Hair Transforming Cream £5.50 can be purchased here

Big Thank You to Cosmopolitan Magazine for the amazing free gift too!!

What did you think of this freebie? Have you used any other products from Phil Smith? I'd love to try some more!

Avon ColorTrend Dazzlers Top Coat in Silver Plated Review

I recently ordered a few bits from Avon, as I think you get get some fantastic quality cosmetics & skin care, but what really impresses me from this brand is their nail polishes.

One of the products which got delivered a few days ago, was their Dazzlers Top Coat from the ColorTrend range.

This is in the shade Silver Plated

I must admit I am a bit of a sucker for anything with glitter and that sparkles! But this glitter top coat is much different from any other that I own. This top coat houses a mixture of large, chunky silver glitter and smaller silver glitter together.

For just £1.50 the quality of the top coat is surprisingly great! You just need the one coat to completely cover the nail with flecks of sparkly glittery goodness! It seemed to dry almost instantly and left a nice glossy finish.

I chose to apply mine over my Essie Nice is Nice nail polish, but I think that this would look beautiful over a black polish.
The ColorTrend Dazzlers come in 3 shades: Silver Plated, a Gold and a Fucshia, and can be purchased from Avon catalogues or online here.
Do you like glitter polishes? Which is your favourite?

Essie Nice is Nice NOTD Review

If you came across my April Glossy Box post, you will already know that one of the products in my box, which I was over the moon about was an Essie Nail Polish in the shade Nice is Nice 38.
I decided this morning that I was going to paint my nails with this, and wanted to share me thoughts on it with you all.
The quality of these nail polishes is really high, and they apply like a dream. I like the brush, as it is quite wide which makes it easy to get an even application with just a couple of strokes to each nail.

'Nice Is Nice' is a muted lilac with a slight hint of grey. I do own a few lilac nail polishes, but none of this particular tone. It is the perfect colour for everyday wear, as it is neutral and understated but still makes your hands look beautifully manicured.
I applied two coats of Essie 'Nice Is Nice' with my Jessica Brilliance top coat which achieved a good coverage, with no streaks. I feel that this colour could be worn at any time of the year too.

Overall I am really happy with this nail polish, and can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it.
Did you get an Essie nail colour in your Glossy Box? Which is your favourite colour from the Essie Nail Range?
